About the Speaker:
Professor Georges Enderle is an international business ethics professor of Mendoza College of Business, University of Notre Dame. He is also the former president of ISBEE (2000-2004). He was born in Switzerland in 1943. He obtained a master’s degree in philosophy from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 1967, a master’s degree from the Lyon Seminary in 1973 and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Fribourg in 1976. And he got a Ph.D economics from the University of Fribourg in 1982 and a Ph.D of economic ethics from the University of St. Gallen. After 1994, he participated in a number of economic ethical research and teaching activities in China. Especially, he taught economic ethics at the China Europe International Business School. He has published 18 books and more than 100 papers, and he co-hosted the 2000 ISBEE Global Congress in Sao Paulo and the 2004 ISBEE Global Congress in Melbourne. His works have been published in Chinese, like “Action-Oriented Economic Ethics”. He was also the co-author of many books like “Dictionary of Economic Ethics”, “International Business Ethics”, and “Developing Economic Ethics in China”.
