It’s hard to believe that we’re heading into midterms. Most SEUers would agree that finding a quality place to study is a key to acing the upcoming mid-term exams. Some usual places in the library are always viable options, but they can get overcrowded during this stressful time, a list of unique places is hereby compiled for SEUers to study on campus.
Library
Individual Study Rooms
Location: The fifth floor
Description: Individual Study Rooms provide a private space for you to study or work. You are much less likely to be disturbed by other people when studying there. Don’t forget to make reservations online in advance.
Tall-back Sofas
Location: The second and the third floor
Description: Generally, sitting for prolonged periods of time in the chair might cause back pain and other health issues. Why not move to the comfortable sofas on the second and the third floor in the library? Sofas are quite cozy and make you feel enjoyable while studying.
English Reading Room

New Taoyuan Canteen
Location: New Taoyuan Canteen
Description: Are you still fretting over the lack of proper places for group discussion? New Taoyuan Canteen must be your first option for its beautiful environment, adequate space and acceptable noise levels. Also, it serves a wide range of food and drinks to quench your appetite.
Learning and Teaching Building
Multi-Functional Classrooms
Location: Building 1
Description: Tired of fixed desks and chairs in the traditional classrooms? Let’s go to Building 1. Flexible classroom seating arrangements there can facilitate different study activities. What’s more, there are many integrating multimedia there, allowing you to work in groups and express your ideas in multiple ways.
Blue Metal Desks
Location: Between Learning and Teaching Buildings
Description: Have you ever tried studying on a desk outside? SEU offers you the opportunity for doing so. During springtime, fresh air, birdsong, and sunshine outside can take some of the stress of studying away, leaving you refreshed and ready to tackle the tasks.

Huameng café and Yuan café
Location: School of Humanities Building, School of Transportation Building
Description: Feel fatigued while studying? The two cafés at SEU are recommended to you. A cup of your favorite coffee can perk you up and give you that energy bonus to keep on plugging away. And of course, there are always plenty of good snacks.
