Recently, 2020 "Innovation China" Annual Conference was held by China Association for Science and Technology, and the "space gene analysis and inheritance technology", recommended by the Urban Planning Society of China and completed by the research team led by Academician Duan Jin from School of Architecture of SEU, was honored as the leading technology of "Innovation China" in 2020.
"Space gene analysis
and inheritance technology"
"Space gene analysis and inheritance technology" not only signifies a landmark achievement in urban planning design and theoretical research for more than three decades, but also marks a continuation and accumulation of the centennial academic research by the architectural planning discipline of SEU.
This technology, based on the urban spatial development theory put forward by Academician Duan Jin, has broken through the limitations of traditional planning and design technologies which overemphasized formal symbols and functional partition. Specifically speaking, through identification, analysis, guidance and other techniques of the localized space model, this technology can avoid the practice of using a unified mode to create the same image in different cities and can provide an effective design path to achieve all win among urban development, natural protection and cultural inheritance.
At present, the technology has been successfully applied in the core city of Xiong'an New Area, the ancient city of Suzhou, Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Village and other major projects, as well as extensive protection of ancient cities and construction of new districts, and also adopted by a number of national industry technical regulations, manuals and guidelines.
2020 "Innovation China"
Leading Technologies Ranking
The 2020 "Innovation China" Leading Technologies Ranking, firstly established by China Association for Science and Technology, was designed to select 50 representative, transformable, transferable and tradable industry-leading technological achievements with major breakthroughs for industrial demands, possible commercial modes and huge commercial potentials from the five fields including electronic information, biological medicine, equipment manufacturing, advanced materials and resources and environment, in accordance with the principle of "serving the world's cutting-edge technologies, the main battlefield of economy, national significant demands, and people's life and health".
Among all these technologies, the "space gene analysis and inheritance technology" developed by Academician Duan Jin and his research team from School of Architecture of SEU, was selected as one of the ten leading technologies in the field of resource and environment. It was also the only technological achievement in the planning and design industry listed in this nationwide ranking.
