The admission letter is a precious gift that enables you to study at the post-secondary level, marks your growth from the teenage and records the beginning of your story with SEU. Before unveiling the unique design of the admission letter this year, we’ve prepared a story of SEUers and SEU for you.
It was the summer day in 1964 and the downpour exactly reflected my depression.
If I cannot get into university, where should I go?
It was the summer day in 2019. I received the admission letter from SEU.
My grandfather, who used to be an SEUer, visited the campus with me. I felt jubilant as his alumnus.
One day, I received an acceptance letter which brought me the unexpected pleasure.
Yes! Nanjing Institute of Technology offered me an opportunity to study further.
My grandfather told me that he still remembered the days and nights reviewing the courses with my grandmother in the library.
SEU was not only the matchmaker of my grandparents but also the witness of their romance.
Nanjing was a livable city both for work and leisure. I wanted to live here. What about you?

I set the goal with the determination to go to SEU when I was very young because I have a family composed of SEUers.
My grandfather, grandmother, mother and uncle all encouraged me to be their schoolfellow.
In 2019, I received the admission letter from SEU. 55 years has passed since my grandparents studied here. While times have changed, we finally happened to be on the same campus, walked along the same paths and enjoyed the familiar scenery.
Fate is indescribably wonderful. With this admission letter, SEU opens her arms and welcomes you to create your own story on this campus. This year, we’ve elaborately prepared an SEU profile in detail.

Once you open the admission letter, you will hear our classical school song. With the music, you will have an immersed experience in your acquaintance with SEU.

The Grand Auditorium is the most well-known landmark in SEU. You may have not yet visited the Grand Auditorium by yourself, but you are very likely to have seen it on the screen. It appears in many films and TV series like So Young, In the Name of People and The Founding of A Republic.
The History of SEU
SEU has weathered a long history of 118 years. It is expected that the time axis may provide you with a clear view of different names SEU had in different periods such as Sanjiang Normal School, National Central University, and Nanjing Institute of Technology, etc.
Although SEU has different designs of its admission letter for different generations, SEU endeavors to show you its long history, unique culture and eternal spirit of SEUers.
