The San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival is accepting entries for destinations, to be featured in the 5th Annual San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival International Spotlight.

The San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival, Southern California’s largest luxury wine and culinary extravaganza, will showcase one international destination known for its remarkable wine and culinary tourism offering at the 5th Annual Festival, held Nov. 12-16, 2008.

The destination featured in the 2008 International Spotlight will be promoted in all event marketing, direct mail, advertising, posters and brochures, as well as highlighted on the Web site with its own dedicated page. The destination is provided space within each of the Festival’s events to showcase its culinary, wine and agritourism offering. The destination will also have the opportunity to headline one of the event’s culinary or enology classes featuring cuisine and/or wine from the region.

The Festival draws just over 7,000 affluent wine and food enthusiasts throughout the week, complete with an action-packed line-up of cooking classes, wine tasting classes, reserve and new release tasting, and a Grand Event with over 160 wine and spirit purveyors, 60 fine dining restaurants, gourmet food companies, olive oil tasting and competition, live entertainment, $50,000 “Chef of the Fest” competition and more.

The Festival’s board of advisors, comprised of regional and national industry experts, sommeliers and chefs, select the destination to be featured in the International Spotlight. The suite is a 2000 gallery space on Main Street, right in the heart of Sundance.
