While heading up to my three times a week 6:00 AM basketball game at the YMCA yesterday, I couldn’t help but laugh again at one of PRWeek’s cover stories. وفي حين ان البند يصل الى بلادي ثلاث مرات في الاسبوع 6:00 صباحا لعبة كرة السلة في جمعية الشبان المسيحيه أمس ، لم أستطع إلا أن أضحك مرة اخرى في واحدة من قصص prweek للتغطية.

The headline screams عنوان الصراخ “Countrywide initiates effort to counter critics.” "ويبادر البلد الجهد لمواجهة النقاد". For those with their head in the sand and don’t know there is a mortgage crisis, بالنسبة لاصحاب الرأس في الرمال ولا اعرف ثمة ازمة الرهن العقاري ، Countrywide Financial البلد المالية is one of many beleaguered mortgage lenders. واحدة من العديد من المحاصرين الرهن العقاري المقرضين. They recently announced with great fanfare the hiring of Burson Marsteller and a new campaign dubbed “Protect Our Home” to ferociously defend it self from it legion of critics. انها اعلنت مؤخرا باهتمام كبير بابتهاج كبير توظيف burson Marsteller وحملة جديدة اطلق عليها اسم "حمايه وطننا" بلا هوادة للدفاع عن نفسه انه من فيلق النقاد.

Well it seems to me based on what I’m reading and hearing, Countrywide, and BM by extension, are going to have a hard time “protecting their home.” وايضا يبدو لي بناء على ما انا والقراءة والاستماع ، البلد ، وBM بالتبعيه ، سوف يكون من الصعب الوقت "حمايه وطنهم".

Remember the legend of تذكر اسطوره Hans Brinker هانز brinker ? ؟ It’s the story of the little Dutch boy who sticks his finger in the dike to prevent it from leaking. انها قصة الصبي الصغير الهولنديه من العصي له اصبع في السد لمنعها من التسرب. BM is the little Dutch boy and Countrywide is the dike. BM هو الصبي الصغير الهولنديه والبلد هو السد. If I’m BM, I’m thinking what do I have to do to help Countrywide survive. اذا انا BM ، وأنا أفكر ماذا يجب أن أفعل لمساعدة البلد على قيد الحياة. Hell with the critics. الجحيم مع النقاد.

There are to many issues swirling around Countrywide and that’s why their survivability is being called into question. وهناك الكثير من القضايا الى الالتفاف حول البلد وهذا سبب للبقاء هو موضع تساؤل. These include وتشمل هذه class action suits الطبقة العمل الدعاوي , ، federal regulators being urged to investigate stock trading by Countrywide Financial Inc. chief executive Angelo Mozilo ويجرى حث المنظمين الاتحادية للتحقيق فى تجارة الاسهم المالية البلد من قبل الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة انجلو mozilo , ، the precipitous drop of Countrywide’s mortgage lending from a year earlier فان التهور وبنسبة انخفاض قدرها البلد 'sالاقراض العقاري عن العام السابق and Countrywide announcing its intention to eliminate 10,000-12,000 jobs. والبلد معلنا عزمه على القضاء على وظائف 10000-12000.

BTW, the layoffs are a complete reversal of what the company had been saying just a month or two ago when CEO Angelo Mozilo could hardly contain his enthusiasm about poaching top mortgage brokers from busted outfits like American Home Mortgage and New Century. راجع للشغل ، وتسريح العمال كاملة هي عكس ما كانت الشركة قائلا شهر واحد او اثنين من قبل المسؤول التنفيذي الأول عندما انجيلو mozilo لا يمكن ان تحتوي على بلدة حماس عن الصيد غير المشروع وسطاء التمويل العقاري اعلى من busted الازياء الاميركية الرئيسية مثل الرهن العقاري والقرن الجديد.

BM is going to fail. BM ذاهب الى الفشل. Not because they’re not qualified to handle such a mess, they are. ليس لأنهم لسنا مؤهلين للتعامل مع مثل هذه الفوضى ، هي. But because Countrywide’s ability to maintain operations depends on Wall Street funding that can dry up in an instant. ولكن نظرا لقدرة البلد للحفاظ على عمليات وول ستريت يعتمد على التمويل التي يمكن ان تجف في لحظة.

Not only that, I also predict that within the next year we’re also going to see Countrywide folded into Bank of America. ليس ذلك فحسب ، وأود ايضا ان توقع في غضون السنة المقبلة نحن ايضا الذهاب الى البلد مطويه انظر الى بنك اوف امريكا.

This past weekend my wife and I spent some quiet time at our second home in upstate New York. في عطلة نهاية الاسبوع الماضي أنا وزوجتي امضى بعض الوقت في جلستنا الهادءه هي البيت الثاني في ريف نيويورك. Anyway, I happened to bring some reading material with me including the July 23rd PRWeek to catch up on some industry news. على أي حال ، كان عندي لجلب بعض مواد القراءة معي بما في تموز / يوليو 23rd prweek من اجل اللحاق على بعض الاخبار والصناعة. And you know what? وانت تعرف ماذا؟ Talk about publishing industry rubbish. الحديث عن صناعة النشر القمامه. What was PRWeek’s editorial board thinking when they published Ed Moed’s Op-ed on ما كان للهيئة التحرير prweek التفكير عندما نشرت الطبعه 'sMoed على البروتوكول الاختياري - الطبعه “Staffing pyramid impedes service?” "يعرقل خدمة الموظفين الهرم؟" Did anybody at PRWeek read the piece before printing it? لم أقرأ أي شخص في prweek القطعه قبل الطباعه؟

The premise of the piece is that PR firms get more bang for the buck and clients receive the strategic counsel they are “screaming” for by inverting the staffing pyramid and having mid to entry-level employees participate in the strategic direction of communications programs, thereby producing real ROI and lowering staff attrition rates. فرضية قطعة من شركات العلاقات العامة هو ان احصل على المزيد من الدوي باك لاستقبال العملاء والمستشار الاستراتيجي لانهم "الصراخ" من قبل لعملية قلب الهرم من الموظفين وبعد منتصف لدخول الموظفين على مستوى المشاركة في التوجه الاستراتيجي للبرامج والاتصالات ، وبذلك عائدات الاستثمار الحقيقية المنتجة وخفض معدلات التناقص الطبيعي للموظفين.

Bullshit. الهراء. You don’t need to stand a pyramid on its head. ولست بحاجة الى الوقوف هرم رأسا على عقب. What Moed’s firm and other PR firms need to do first is create a corporate culture that thinks outside the box, pushes the envelope and generates new ideas and suggestions from employees no matter where they are on the totem pole. ما Moed الثابت وغيرها من شركات العلاقات العامة الحاجة الى القيام الاول هو خلق ثقافة الشركات ان التفكير خارج الصندوق ، ويدفع الظرف ويولد افكارا ومقترحات جديدة من الموظفين بغض النظر عن المكان الذي هي على الطوطم القطب. And then they need to get rid of the deadwood that currently exists among staff and replace them with really smart people. وبعد ذلك حاجة للتخلص من الأغصان الميتة التي توجد حاليا في اوساط الموظفين ويستعاض عنها الناس حقا ذكية. Look, if you’re not smarter than me, you’re not good enough to work at BlinnPR. انظر ، اذا كنت لا اذكي من لي ، انت يست جيدة بما فيه الكفايه للعمل في blinnpr. Period. الفترة. Also, for Christ’s sake pay top dollar for talent. أيضا ، لاجل المسيح دفع الدولار اعلى للمواهب. And lastly, avoid the comical bait and switch during the pitching process. واخيرا ، تجنب هزلي الطعم والتبديل خلال عملية الترويج. It’s an insult to the prospect/client. انها اهانة لاحتمال / العميل. Follow my advice and you won’t have the high turnover rates Moed speaks of or disgruntled clients asking us how BlinnPR can do better. متابعة بلدي المشوره ولن تتمكن من ارتفاع معدلات دوران Moed يتحدث الزبائن الساخطين او يطلب منا blinnpr كيف يمكن ان نفعل افضل من ذلك.

Anyway, I have other issues with the Op-ed, like the numerous statements Moed made that were not backed up with supporting statistics. على اية حال ، انا مع القضايا الاخرى مقالات أد ، شأنها في ذلك شأن العديد من البيانات التى ادلى Moed لا تتجسد مع الاحصاءات الداعمة. But I guess that is what an Op-ed is all about, opinions not facts. ولكن اعتقد ان ما هو البروتوكول الاختياري - هو كل شيء عن الطبعه الآراء لا الحقائق.

How effective is the counseling when the former head of China’s top food and drug safety agency was sentenced to death this past May after pleading guilty to corruption and accepting bribes? ما مدى فعاليه المشوره عندما كان رئيسا للفى الصين اعلى الاغذيه والعقاقير وكالة السلامة حكم عليه بالاعدام في ايار / مايو الماضي بعد مرافعه المذنبين الى قبول رشوة والفساد؟

According to ووفقا لل Michelle Malkin ميشيل malkin , Bilal Hussein, an AP photographer in Iraq assisted terrorists against coalition forces. بلال حسين ، المصور أ ب بمساعدة الارهابيين في العراق ضد قوات التحالف.

Back on April 12, Mr. Hussein was captured by coalition forces in an apartment with insurgents and a cache of weapons. العودة يوم 12 ابريل الماضى ، والسيد حسين قد اعتقل من قبل قوات التحالف في شقة مع المتمردين ومخبأ للاسلحه.

It wasn’t until this past Sunday, September 17, the Associated Press finally acknowledged that Hussein was being detained. وكان لا بد من الانتظار حتى يوم الاحد الماضي ، 17 ايلول / سبتمبر ، وكالة اسوشيتد برس وأخيرا اعترف ان حسين كان محتجزا.

Whether you’re against the war or for it, it should not take the Associated Press four months to admit one of their journalists got caught with an alleged al Qaeda leader and test positive for bomb-making materials. سواء كنت ضد الحرب ، او لأنها ، فإنه لا ينبغي ان تتخذ وكالة اسوشيتد برس اربعة اشهر على قبول واحد من الصحفيين حصلت المزعوم الذي ضبط مع زعيم تنظيم القاعده والاختبار ايجابية لمواد لصنع قنابل.

Is it not our responsibility as PR professionals to effectively counsel our clients, in this case corporate management, to get bad news out as quickly as possible and go from there? أليس من مسؤوليتنا نحن العلاقات العامة الفنيين الى المستشار عملائنا على نحو فعال ، في هذه الحاله ادارة الشركات ، للحصول على الأخبار السيءه في اسرع وقت ممكن والعودة من هناك؟ It should not come as surprise, but the media does treat the media differently. لا يمكن ان يكون مفاجاه ما ، ولكن هل تعامل وسائل الاعلام وسائل الاعلام بطريقة مختلفة.

Either way, the Associated Press’s communication department gets devil horns for the way they handled this situation. اما الطريقة ، وكالة اسوشيتد برس للادارة الاتصالات يحصل قرون الشيطان طريقة لمعالجة هذا الوضع.
